Found this beauty at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
The Painted Lady butterfly is one of our common butterflies.
There was only the tiniest crack in this solid granite rock, but this little plant had the will to survive.
They say that if all the bees disappeared then humans would have only two years before we disappear. Thank goodness for all these hard working creatures who not only pollinate all our food but who also give us a bonus of delicious honey.
