Queen Victoria Building

The Queen Victoria Building in Sydney is amazing, it has been lovingly restored and transformed into a magical shopping centre. Painstaking care has been taken to keep the original feel, features, and history and yet to make it feel modern, upmarket and special. I have to visit again just to see the beautiful stained glass windows.

The Passion Flower

As we near Easter the symbolism of the Passion Flower brings us reminders of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The colours of the Passion Flower are generally blue and white which are said to represent the heavens and purity. The three stigmas are said to represent the three nails that were used on Christ's hands and feet to affix him to the cross. The five anthers are associated with the five wounds of Christ and the hundreds of filaments are said to represent the crown of thorns.

Life in the Times of the Coronavirus!

Life in the times of the Coronavirus (Covid19) feels like you are in the twilight zone, not quite believing what is happening. This is what the shelves of the meat aisle look like at our local supermarket, while the butcher shop across from the supermarket has full shelves of meat? So many essential items sold out with the panic buying that is happening now, we really need to just.calm.down, take a chill pill, stay at home and out of the supermarkets.
