Day 94 Baobab Tree

Baobab Tree The Baobab Tree is one of the giants of African trees that have many uses from the fruit to the bark. The size of the tree gives me the feeling of security and stability.

Day 53 Daisies To Brighten Your Day

orge daisies Wild orange daisies, as they start to open they look like little glowing suns, they brighten up your day. So pretty.

Day 16 A Red Dragon

red dragfly Beautiful dragonflies everywhere, red ones, golden ones, blue ones and even deep blue almost black ones. These winged dragons whizz around the waterways and remind me of winged horses from fairytales. Any way they are fascinating and fearsome creatures.

Day 10 What To Do On A Hot Day? Why Swim Of Course

sac ibis swim What better to do on a hot day than to just swim and splash about in the nice cool water. This Sacred Ibis took full advantage and just had a ball.

Day 8 Seagull Eating A Frog

SGullfrog Watching birds from a hide at Intaka Island I was amazed to observe this Hartlaub's Seagull eating a frog. Then again, on second thoughts, these scavengers have been seen eating chips at Hout Bay and even chicken bones outside KFC so I suppose frogs are not off the menu then.

Day 5 Little Chick Lost

Kittlitz's chick Kittlitz's Plover chick all alone on the big pond. Looking so vulnerable and fragile in this new wide world. Hopefully it will grow to adulthood and bring forth many more.
